Get Trained to Help — Clackamas, Multnomah & Washington Counties

Mental and public health programs in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties have joined together to offer trainings and presentations on a regional website, called "Get Trained to Help – Mental Health Matters for All (GTTH)," where community members and professionals can learn about and register for free mental health first aid and suicide prevention trainings. GTTH offers classes across the region in order to reach people desiring to learn more and help others in need.

GTTH respects the privacy rights of all visitors to this website and those registering for trainings (Users). The following details GTTH's collection, protection, and use of information collected from users of this website.

What information does GTTH collect?

The GTTH website collects two types of information: anonymous information and personally identifiable information (PII). Anonymous information cannot be linked to specific users. GTTH uses Google Analytics, which captures information about a user's browser, operating system, service provider and IP address; for mobile devices it also collects operating system, service provider and screen resolution. This anonymous information helps in understanding and improving the user experience.

A website cookie is a small text file that a web server places on a user's computer. We may use cookies to collect, store, and sometimes track information for statistical purposes.

Personally identifiable information (PII) refers to information voluntarily submitted by specific users. The PII collected includes name, email address, phone number(s), and zip code. PII will be used by GTTH only on a need-to-know basis and will not be made accessible to unauthorized individuals. GTTH does not collect PII unless it is voluntarily submitted.

This information is used solely for training registration, information, feedback, evaluation and confirmation purposes. Once a user attends a class, their name and email may be submitted to the national Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) organizations as part of the trainer certification agreement. For users attending Mental Health First Aid classes, name, organization, community role, email and phone will be submitted to Mental Health First Aid Oregon for feedback and evaluation purposes.

How is information used?

GTTH uses PII to communicate with users about available trainings, send confirmation emails, and respond to questions or comments. Users who indicate willingness to be contacted for feedback or evaluation authorize use of their contact information for those purposes. Users who indicate they wish to be added to a mailing list for upcoming trainings will be added to that list.

GTTH also uses anonymous information to create aggregate reports about training attendance and regional participation. These statistics help in understanding and responding to future community needs. Information voluntarily provided may be subject to Oregon's public records law and other applicable state and federal laws. GTTH and its participating counties will seek to keep PII confidential where disclosure would constitute an unreasonable invasion of privacy.

Opting Out

User information: Users may opt out of having their information collected and stored by emailing the Administrator at info@gettrainedtohelp.com. The Administrator will remove the user's record. If a user opts out before attending training, their registration will be cancelled. If a user opts out after attending, their record will be removed.

Email mailing list: Users may opt out of the mailing list at any time. Every email includes an unsubscribe option, or users may email the Administrator at info@gettrainedtohelp.com.

Terms and Conditions

This website is offered conditioned on acceptance of these terms without modification. Use of this website constitutes acceptance. Users agree to use this website in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws, and agree not to knowingly alter, damage, or destroy GTTH's or another user's computer systems, software, or data, or use this website to conduct any activity prohibited by law.

GTTH takes appropriate security measures to protect user privacy. Should those measures be breached, appropriate corrective action will be taken, including prompt notification of users by the website administrator at Clackamas County.

GTTH takes reasonable measures to protect PII but cannot guarantee prevention of all loss, misuse, or alteration, and is not responsible for damages relating to such events. Because the GTTH website includes links to other websites, GTTH cannot ensure the privacy practices of those sites. Links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute referrals or endorsements. Users are encouraged to read the privacy policies of other websites before submitting information to them.

GTTH has made reasonable efforts to provide current, correct, and clearly expressed information, but disclaims responsibility for typographical errors or inaccuracies. Information is subject to change without notice. Where official printed publications differ from this website, the official printed documents take precedence. Information is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Copyright

Information generated by GTTH is in the public domain and may be used, reproduced, or published without specific authorization, provided GTTH is cited as the source. For materials generated outside of GTTH, permission must be obtained from the original source. Use and reproduction of GTTH seals, logos, insignias, or emblems is strictly prohibited without authorization from the website administrator.

Indemnity

As a condition of use, the user agrees to indemnify Clackamas County, Multnomah County, Washington County, and their Commissioners, officers, employees and agents against any and all liability, expenses (including attorney's fees) and damages arising from claims resulting from the user's use of this website.
